Coastal Ballers Basketball set to launch with support from Great Yarmouth Basketball Club

Great Yarmouth Basketball Club is pleased to confirm that we will be working alongside Coastal Ballers as they prepare to launch a new grassroots basketball programme for young players in the local area.

Coastal Ballers has continued to grow through its football programme, which will remain a key part of the wider Coastal Ballers offer. The launch of Coastal Ballers Basketball will create a second sporting stream, giving young people even more opportunities to get involved in positive, accessible community sport.

Coastal Ballers Basketball will provide a fun and welcoming entry point into the sport, giving younger players the opportunity to take part in community-based basketball sessions, develop their skills, build confidence, make friends and enjoy playing the game.

The new programme will also form an important part of the developing basketball pathway across Great Yarmouth and East Norfolk. Players who are ready to progress beyond grassroots sessions will be able to be signposted towards Great Yarmouth Basketball Club’s wider junior programme, including development teams, performance teams and future academy opportunities.

The club is currently updating its pathway information to reflect the developing relationship between Coastal Ballers, Great Yarmouth Basketball Club and East Norfolk Sixth Form College.

This announcement is the first step, with more detailed pathway information to follow as session details are confirmed.
