Men’s basketball is open to players aged 15+ where appropriate, with opportunities for players who want competitive team basketball as well as those looking for regular training, fitness and a good standard of basketball.

MEN’S BASKETBALL AT GYBC
Men’s Basketball at GYBC provides opportunities for senior players and suitable players aged 15+.
For some, the aim is to represent the club in Norfolk League competition. Others attend for regular basketball, fitness, enjoyment and the opportunity to play in a positive, competitive environment.
New players are welcome during the season. Our coaches will consider each player’s age, experience and readiness and help identify whether Men’s, U18 or another club environment is most appropriate.
HOW MEN’S BASKETBALL WORKS
PAYG BASKETBALL
Suitable Men’s sessions can be booked individually through Coacha on a pay-as-you-go basis.
This option is ideal for players who want regular basketball, fitness and a good competitive run without committing to league fixtures.
Friday open runs are available when listed in Coacha. Friday sessions may also be used for team activity during the season.

LEAGUE TEAM
Selected players represent Great Yarmouth Basketball Club in Norfolk League fixtures and pay monthly team fees by Direct Debit.
Selection considers ability, commitment, attitude, availability, reliability and how well players contribute to the team environment.
League players are expected to attend regular team training and be available for fixtures throughout the season.
Home fixtures are played at East Norfolk Sixth Form College and may be recorded using the club’s Veo camera for review and analysis.

Book one free first session through Coacha. Our coaches will help identify whether Men’s Basketball is the most appropriate environment based on your age, experience and aims.
WANT FLEXIBLE BASKETBALL?
After your free first session, suitable Men’s sessions can be booked individually through Coacha on a pay-as-you-go basis.
INTERESTED IN THE LEAGUE TEAM?
Players who are ready to commit to training and fixtures may be invited to join the Men’s team. Selected players move onto monthly membership paid by Direct Debit.
Players can join during the season and may be considered for the team when places are available.

TEAM FEES
Selected league team players pay monthly fees by Direct Debit through Coacha.
Full fee and membership information is provided when a player is offered a place in the team.
BE MEMBERSHIP
Players selected for Norfolk League fixtures must hold the appropriate Basketball England Participant Membership for the season.
The club will provide selected players with the registration link and instructions when available.
